Westminster show.

Was watching the dog show and that walker hound was pretty nice but I think I got her beat with Armour.

Lol. 😄. Watched some of it and, meaning no disrespect to anybody's favorite dogs,.......but some of those breeds they looked like they pulled out of a south Georgia trash dumpster.

From what I can see, you'll beat a lot of 'em with Armour.

I thought the Redbone, English, Bluetick, Plott, and Walker all looked basically like what we might see in the woods at night. Maybe they are colored up a little nicer than what I am used to seeing, but they look like coonhounds are supposed to look.

But the B&T has ears that are way long and it looks more like a bloodhound than a coonhound. It looks nothing like B&T's that actually still do what they are supposed to do (tree coons).

I know the AKC B&T has been bred up a lot longer than the other breeds and they've been able to exaggerate the traits more. Will the other breeds eventually have longer and longer ears, and a more "houndy" look?

the coon hounds looked like your normal everyday hunting dog. The beagles head and muzzle looked a little over sized like a body builder on the juice.

A few yrs ago the walker was a grand nite champ. I try to watch every yr to see if any of the hounds are titled. The red bone looked so good last nite my wife almost wanted one lol. That would have been fine with me get her outta the deer stand & following hounds.

Thanks

Thanks for the compliments on Armour. He is out of Outsider X Hardwood Sadie.

As far as that beagle goes. If that hound ran a rabbit I would pay big money for it. She was one of the best put together hounds I have ever seen. The head was perfect, and she moved on the ground excellent. Driving her legs forward. Very very nice. She was the winner of the groups last night in my book. Sort of looked like some breed stock from England.

As impressive as those dog are, not a lot of hard muscle to found on that floor. Dogs or otherwise.

I always enjoy watching them to watch the hound group. I'm glad that the hound group goes first so I don't have to see any of the rats they usually have.
