Garmin Antenna

Do you prefer the rubber antenna or metal antenna?
I have a metal antenna and it broke off after i flipped it out as gentle as I always do. I was just wondering if that's common for these metal antennas. And also wondering what most people use. I haven't seen many with the metal antennas in the hunts. I noticed most use the long range rubber antenna.
