I don't have one myself but I have a buddy who bought one at autumn oaks. He doesn't have any complaints. It's very light and super bright. I was checking it out just the other night (In the woods) because I've been trying to make up my mind between That light, Boss sunspot, and Cajun big easy or Bayou. I'm thinking i'll go with the Sunfire. It's not just bright the color of the light just seems perfect for spotting a coon and it really does seam to be quality made.
That all said I actually checked out all three lights I mentioned at Autumn Oaks myself and I have to say they're all really nice lights.
I don't suppose a guy would be going wrong with any of them but you can't beat getting to try one in the woods and the Sunfire Mini looks tough to beat.

I purchased one this past fall. I purchased it from Valley Creek East on the advice of Johnny Dalton. I discussed with him what I wanted in a light and he thought this light would be best for me. I can actually see the coons better with this light than other led cap lights I have previously used. The color of the light reminds me of the old 5100 style heads rather than the pure white light of many of the other led cap lights. I don't think I drew my hand spot out of the pouch once after purchasing the Mini Pro. I haven't tried all the other lights on the market and I'm sure they are all good. But I honestly think anyone would be happy with the Sunfire Mini. I would highly recommend this light.

Bought the Mini HD for my fourteen year old son at Autumn Oaks last year. He loves that light. He says he cannot wait for warmer weather to get here so he can use it gigging frogs.

He has had zero problems with it and he is always the hunter finding the coon with it.

I highly recommend the Mini HD.

I didn't like mine. Cord was too long, and battery pack sit too low, it was always pushing my hat up when I looked up. Had to walk with it on high most of the time to have it bright enough to suit me, so my battery was dead after a long hunt.

Not a bad light, but not for me

I bought one last Nov. and love it. Very bright, lightweight, great burn times. The flood of the colored LED is what helps me the most in finding coons. You don't have to be looking directly at them to catch an eye shining. If he peeks from way out on the edge of the tree you'll see him. My dog actually got BETTER after I started using it.

Are you sure your talking about the same light? They're 70,000 lux. You could burn a tree down with it on high.

Not bashing you in anyway, but did you ever compare it with another one. Something may have been wrong with it. I cant imagine having to turn it wide open just to walk by. I sometimes wish they had a click that was dimmer to walk by.

To the OP, I bought my stepson one after I had bought the Sunfire Ultra (not the HD). If the Mini had been available when I bought mine, I would have the Mini. It is just as nice as the Ultra but a shade lighter and few dollars cheaper. They are built very well and burn time is crazy. You can hunt many, many nights on a charge. The colored LED is very nice too. If you can't find a coon with this light then a light is not your problem. I would definitely buy another one and wouldnt even look at other lights. Just cant see how any of them could be better.

I'm not saying it wasn't bright enough on high. I'm saying one click below high was too dim to suit me when walking through the brush

You could be right I'll have to check that out before I buy one but I have to wonder If you aren't doing the same thing I'm guilty of often. I walk away from the tree with my light on high, 20min later I realize I'm walking around with my light on high and when I turn it down I can't see because I got used to the bright light? Just a thought I know I do that a lot.

I have one I like it but I cant keep it on my head, because the screws fell out and wore threw the nylon. I have to use zip ties to hold it together because we can't find any screws to fit it.

I have no need to walk.with mine any higher than.the first click. My first click is as bright or brighter than my old 21 volt wide open on the low side. Even on.third click it still should last couple nights hunting. Probably more.

If you walked around all night with the Sunfire Mini on the highest click you would have airplanes trying to land on your location. I have mine on the standard bump cap and have had no problems with it staying fastened. As far as the cord being to long I don't understand that at all. The cord goes from the head to the battery and is attached to the cap. If it was any shorter it wouldn't work. Walking on the first click is more than bright enough and it is a wider beam than most led lights. I can't believe we are discussing the same product.

Absolutely the best light I have ever had on my head. If I picked at anything I would like to have it on a different bump cap but other then that it is perfect for me. I'm looking for a bump cap I will like now. So far I haven't found anything. Guess I'm just picky.

If the cord was shorter you could move the battery pack up on the cap.

I guess I should have put that the batter pack was too low. As far as the first click I don't even know why it was on the light. I could hold a zippo up and get more light.

Like I said, lots of people like it, it just wasn't for me. Used it a couple weeks and sold it
