Dna

A question for breeders, Stud dog owners, and anyone that has a female and occasionally raises an batch of puppies. That before a litter can be registered both the sire and dam would have to be DNA'd?
If not what is your reason . I know that the PP studs have to be DNA'd but how about the females? How about the X-bred,

KNOWN crosses between the seven recognized coonhound breeds would be accepted and registered as X-Bred.

The X-Bred category also encompasses dogs of unknown ancestry (but still meeting "coonhound type", which is determined by UKC) AND purebred dogs with color disqualifications.

All this info can be found on our website, via our X-Bred FAQ or X-Bred Presentation video.

SO Corey can I cross a walker with a boarder collie and Reg. it as a cross breed as long as it looks like a hound?
