My vote would have to go to Stanley Nichols. Stanley has accomplished more in the last 10 years than many of us do in a lifetime. NICHOLS TREE SPIKE, MAINSTREET ROY, MAINSTREET JACK, MAINSTREET JOHN THE BAPTIST, MAINSTREET MAX, UPTIGHT SPIKE, MAINSTREET MAC and the list goes on and on of hounds that are out of ROY or are NICHOLS TREE SPIKE bred.. ROY won as much as any hound in the history of competition hunting and sired MAINSTREET JACK and UKC WORLDCH. MAINSTREET JOHN THE BAPTIST. As we all know, JACK is well on his way to being one of the greatest studs of all-time and Stanleys MAX dog is at the top of the reproducers list. Without Stanley Nichols' contribution to the English breed, I believe we would still be behind, but because of his contribution we are now the breed to beat, right there with the Walkers.
Others that I feel have made major contributions......
Larry Wilcox
Gayle Flowers
Randy Leonard
Asa Briggs
John Ferrari
Jim Ridge
Richard Moore
I'm probably forgetting someone but my vote goes to STANLEY NICHOLS!!
