Stud dog question.

I have a female directly out of Mojo that should be about to cycle. I am not looking for a stud dog that would help sale pups. I am looking for one that will help put a big mouth on some pups, that will help to put track driving ability in pups. and help put accuracy in them. I do not like a straight line blow thru the county type dog. Does not need to be a big name stud dog. Just want to know what is out there. Thanks.

I have hunted with 6 or 7 dogs out of Bone and never heard one with what I would consider a big mouth. Not saying they arent out there, and that Bone does not throw good dogs, just saying I have not seen it

I hunted with some lockbox pups that would go hunting and had what I would call a carrying type of mouth. You could hear them a long way. You can't go wrong with something lipper or clover

The only ones I am really the close to are Dollar and Stylish Trader. Both dogs are awesome, independent, loud coon treers. Dollar has only two pups on the ground so the jury is still out, trader pups I've been around are pretty nice

Here's an idea, don't breed her, and buy a pup out of prospective stud dog, train and then decide if you would breed to it. If not repeat the process. That's the only way imo, if more guys would do this our breed would be in much better shape.
Lord knows we have enough pups being bred every day.

If your looking for opinions on here, you will be crap out of luck, since what one guys call accurate another doesn't. Most are only repeating what they hear and even less actually take the time to write anything more then a name.

Loud and accurate but closer hunting is a tough request. I know of a loud and lazy stud dog, but he has accuracy issues. I know of some loud and accurate straight lined stud dogs, but there pups are horse racers and bred for the big hunts. What your describing, is an area I feel presently isn't being being filled. A dog that is pleasure to hunt but can still win on the weekends.

My best advice to you is what I said, find a dog you think you like and seen in person breed to his daddy. If your gung ho on breeding her. I would pry give Scott Engle a call and see what he says being that you are hunting a mojo dog, I'm guessing you like her, so odds are a dog that Scott might recommend, you would also like being that you both clearly share similar tastes in dogs.

Bone throws good mouths, just not huge mouths. He throws exceptional coon dogs, that tree a pile of coon and not trees. However he puts quite a bit of motor in them from what I have experienced, so if you don't like a wide hunting dog, this may rule him out.

Never hunted with ddf, but I hunt the Fred line exclusively and there notorious for standing on there heads as pups. Imo there much better tree dogs then track dogs. Deadly accurate though, and don't need a ton of speed because there typically by themselves.

I think Nocturnal Kane is in your area, I would look at him.
Your not going to get a ton of track power, but you should get loud, smart, accurate tree dogs. You could look to add that next time around by throwing in some clover or wipe out.
If ya gotta have more track and mouth I would go with trader or one of his mates. They do like to get deep as well. That would be a good cross as well from a pedigree stand point going back to Anna.

Bone would probably be the most balanced out of the bunch, imo studs out of hubs homer are throwing the most complete package, and best pups.

Most of the better studs that I'm aware of right now, also throw dogs that straight line, im guessing this is because of what is winning and desired in the big competition circles.

The Mr Moe dog standing at stud is as louder than 99% of the hounds today and he is throwing this same trait in his pups. Moe is arguably the best stud in the country that most have never heard of. His oldest pups are 2 years old. He has 69 pups on the ground with 17 already finding the winners circle. He is in the top ten of both spring and fall one year old SS sire divisions, one of only two studs in the country to claim this. Last year he produced semi finalists in both spring and fall ss's as well as the highest scoring pup at the baby stakes. Moe is off one of the absolute best crosses the walker breed has had in the past 10-15 and is consistantly putting the same big mouth, track driving, and accuracy in his pups that was passed down to him. You can read more about Moe and his pups under the TW stud section of this forum.

Wipeout dogs go back to Flatrock Coma,he put big mouths on dogs.
I own a male out of a Wipeout Zack daughter and Stylish Coma that is extremely loud,I also own a daughter of Wipeout Zack that has a carrying female mouth, and her pups are extremely loud.
I had a female out of Triple Threat that was extremely loud, and Zeb 3 is putting big mouths on his pups.
Wipeout and a good mouth go hand in hand.

Is the female lacking in mouth, track power and accuracy? If so Id be searching for a pup instead of a stud.
