Yes sir, I had one to do the same exact thing. Everyone screamed it was the battery needed replaced. Here is what I was told to try by garmin tech support and I'm still running the same battery over a year later. Take the dc30 apart and disconnect the battery leave the battery unhooked for 30 minutes this allows the collar to reset. After 30 minutes hook the battery back up and put collar back together and try to charge the collar again if it recharges you are good to go. if the collar does the same as before and does not charge replace the battery. X2.. I had 4 30's with exact same problem. After disconnecting batteries in them for 15 minutes they have all charged and worked flawlessly. I did try charging repeatedly before disassembling. Just make sure the housing is water tight. Good way to do that is tiny bead of silicone.
