Home Remedies for Ear problems.

Just wondering if anyone had any home remedies for dogs that have ear problems. Dog is shaking its head when it barks. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

use a 50/50 mix of achol and peroxide works real good but if you can afford it you would be better off to take your dog to the vet hope you get it resovled

Well u can have mites, fungal infection, and/or bacterial infection. I have 1 that gets fungal n bacterial both. I mix u.s vet go dry which is penicillin g in seaseme oil, hydrocortisone salve, and women's yeast infection stuff together. Use vineger n alcohol as a cleaner. I've heard that zymox works good too.

ZYMOX

buy it off Ebay... Get the stuff with cortizone in it... Follow directions exactly as given... Homemade cleaner after the treatment period is over...

4 oz. of Isopropyl Alchohol
4 oz. of white vinegar
tablespoon of betadine solution

If you can find it a teaspoon of boric acid.... Shake Well before use...

Mine was so bad I had to do the Zymox for 14 days instead of 7 as per the instuctions.... Clean his ears every so often with the homemade cleaner... All has been well since using this method...

Re: ZYMOX

We are trying the Zymox right now.
The Boric Acid you can get from any pharmacy or I find it at Fred's (Dollar Store). It $3 there and About $10 at Wal-mart Pharmacy.

I was advised to try 50/50 alcohol and apple cider vinegar. Used it a couple times so far, so too soon to tell. This is after failed attempts at what the vet prescribed us and mearicle ear solution. If this doesn't clear up the yeast infection, I'm gonna havta fork over the money for Zymox .
