What line of walkers

What line of walkers are making good trailing dogs. Consistently. Taking tracks as they come and finishing them even on the bad nights. 90% accurate. I want some of that stuff the talk about on Houndsman XP podcast.

I've been there for a few of those podcasts, and I don't remember talking about any of that 🤣

Local guy to me hunts the Tidewater line of Walkers. He has the best Walker I’ve ever seen go. 6 year old dog. Tree any kind of coon off any kind of track. I’d feed him, and I prefer not to feed Holsteins haha

Good luck finding that type of dog today! My guess is you’ll look long and hard to find what you want. Very few people want a dog that says much on the ground or one that takes more than 5 minutes to come treed in this day and age.

I am not going to brag on him but I will say he puts TRACK power in his pups regardless of what he has been bred to. I have tried to breed more tree into them but they always come out looking for that track. They can lay them up, drift them, take tracks in the middle of winter or the heat of summer. They are very track minded, they will flat go hunting and start running tracks very early, can flat drive them at 8 months to catch but they usually don't start treeing until later, 12-15 months old. It will flat drive you crazy but if you stick with them they will make super nice deadly accurate hounds like you're looking for.

I can provide many recent references of that.
