GRNITECH CH 'PR" Rocky Comfort Henry HTX in Ga
I'm going to offer Henry at stud to provide a top dog to Redbone people in the deep south. He is not performance or SS sire for '15, but would breed free if bitch owner wanted to pay fess. He is a loud, deep chop, open mouthed very fast track dog. He sometimes has a triple chop locate but also uses it when picks a track back up, usually just runs up on tree and increases volume x2 and trees very fast. Put in treeing contest at Am days at Olney last year, was 174 0n Fri, 160 on Sat, 120 at SNRD Sat. He is quick to open on track , usually 1st or second strike and very honest. He will open on any track he comes to and can usually get going in right direction quickly and move it fast with speed depending on how cold or hot it is. He is very active on tree, jumps and circles, which isn't good if rough dog there, but rough dogs don't care what kind of tree style they bite. When he gets bit he stops treeing, moves off 50 yds, puts nose on ground, and waits for rough dog to be handled back, then shoots in to tree and goes right back hammering. I wish he would back off 10yds and keep barking but he's too intense to not be on tree, and he's not about to give rough dog another chance at that tree. I'm a Ga Bulldawg and don't like gators anyway, and I'm sho nuff tired of people bringing these mean dogs to hunt just to do anything to win. Since making NITECH at 2 yr he's been bitten 12 times in NITECH and GRNITECH cast, with most severe in cast by known rough Eng male who chewed up his front leg on 1st tree, and he still treed 2 more coons and won cast. He made GRNITECH at 3yr with first NT win a slam as only cast winner out of five casts, one RQE win and rest club wins within 1 1/2 hours with none of them on his home grounds. He is very well balanced and an intense pressure tree dog, with only thing moving him off tree being bitten. He was a natural starter, never saw cage coon or worked on drags or rolling cage at nite. Just walked him on creeks alone or with littermate Rhett starting at 9 wks. He opened on 1st track alone at 7mos Aug '11, in dry heat, and treed his 1st coon alone at 9mos Oct '11, still dry conditions. He has very strong nose and can work very cold tracks and wind layups and tree right under limb standing on rear legs. He is very consistent but does have off nights very occasionally, and is afraid of thunder, lightning and rain, from being ground shocked during frequent summer storms here, so doesn't do much in them. He qualified for '14 UKC World and placed tied for 2nd in RQE at SNRD '15. AT '14 World Semifinal we got caught in T/L storms and he tried , would get struck then thunder and would come back to me and get minused. He achieved GRNITECH with a handler with no prior coon hunting experience other than 4 trips before buying him at 9 wks old, and starting him to handle and come back if didn't get struck in 5-800yds, as wasn't even thinking about comp hunting. He still checks back if doesn't strike after 6-880 yds which can get him behind other dogs, but will go check their track when open and can beat them to tree, as he did Thrs in Rqe cast. Ted Baker, Johnny Cowan, Wallace Gillespie, and anyone hunted with him in cast can tell you what he's like. Very hard for opposing handlers to call their dogs off him because of his open fast chop mouth. Call me if interested 706-699-0232. Ped, pix in next post, thanks, Ed
