I just built a new indoor/outdoor kennel and the outside part is #57 stone. I was a little worried it would be to rough on them but they dont act sore or anything and seem to love it. Of course they dont have to stay on it all day cause the indoor part is concrete and rubber stall mats. My main concern was drainage so that is why i went with the larger crushed stone. If i start to have any problems with it i have planned to cap it with a dense grade. They have been on it a little over a week now and so far so good.
