I can't help with any blueprints, but I can tell you you'll want a minimum of 4 holes. If you're doing open/grade races you'll probably want more.
Also, make sure you make the holes big enough for bigger dogs. It's no fun trying to stuff an 70+lb dog in a hole that's smaller than he is, especially when it's a lot narrower than the dog. I've seen a few big dogs do some terminal damage to too-small boxes.

OK I know most don't want holes too big cuz then they turn around but maybe 1 or 2 for larger dogs. Good input keep it comming!

Startbox

Our club here in MO has a box that was mainly designed with the greyhound crossbred dogs in mind. It is a seven hole with a concrete jump ramp and individual doors that swing open from the side and are opened/closed simultaneously by the person who cranks the float from a tower that stands behind the startbox. We chose not to have a swing up single door because if you get dogs that jump high out of the box instead of straight there was a chance of them hitting their backs on the door and a drop down could catch a pad or a toe, but there are lots of boxes out there that have these type of doors. If you live close to Lima, Johnstown, Holmesville, Owensville or Fort Recovery, Ohio you might go see what their boxes look like and how they operate for ideas. If you'd like more info on ours just let me know.
