I use a product called Duranon. It is a spray for your clothes. I wear the same clothes hunting every night so that works great for me. You spray your clotehs with it and let them set at least 4 hours before you put them on. It will last 3 months a treatment. I can not tell you the last time I have gotten a tick off of me.
Best stuff I have found.

yep the durannon works really great. Pretty much any thing with permethrin in it will do the trick.

Where'd you get this duranon? I just spray "off " on me and my boots. I've had a few imbedded. I usually tuck in my clothes, no loose clothing. It really helps!

i can feel them on me and i pick them off. i don't like the tiny ticks that you need a magnifying glass to see. when i start to itch and can't see anything i know what it is. i get undressed in the garage and go to the bathroom and start picking.
