Wat is the difference between the t5 and the dc 50 on a 320 astro?

From what I read the only difference is the t5 does not have the bark detection feature everything else is the same and it can also be used with the alpha where the dc 50 is not compatible with the alpa. So it can be used in the comp hunts.

It looks like the t5 has more satelites it can get a signal from. So should get out alittle better than the dc 50.

Just re read the article. The dc50 tracks the same number of satellites. So only difference must be the bark detection.

The Main Difference bettween the T5 and DC50.

The T5 does not have bark detection, and the T5 can be paired with Either the Alpha Or the Astro 320.

The Reason the T5 does not have these features was to align with competition rules.

TT15 can be paired with both the Alpha and 320 as you can read. My question is will you be able to shock with the 320 TT15 pair? If so, what will UKC's stance be?

i dont think the 320 has a "shock" button so i dont believe a 320 can activate the shock function of the tt15, but i could be wrong

Never ask a man what kind of dog he has. If he has a hound he'll tell you, if he does not, you don't want to shame him by asking.

If you read the article it says the 320 will track the tt15 with an update, The TT15 has a tone, shock and vibrate and says (ALPHA 100 ONLY) So you can track it with either system but you can't shock with the 320...........If you could why would anyone pay $200 more for the Alpha??????????? So I don't for see it ever happening.

The tt15 no because it can still shock but the T5 they put out also YES because it can be used on the alpha and has no shock feature on it.

Yes, see the "sticky" at the top of the page.

Don't like having to spend more money, but it's a lot cheaper than a whole 320 system......I'll be a buyer.

I think we are all the collar police. It's just this simple, using a training device (shocker) during the hunt is a barring offense and I'm confident that anyone found to have used it will, in fact, get barred. Cheaters will cheat. It is up the the rest of us pay attention, watch the untrustworthy, and follow every last stinking procedure nessesary to get them gone when they do cheat.

The T5 does not stim or tone with an Alpha.

The T5 does not stim or tone on an Astro.

The T5 has lights on the collar that can be turned on and off from a distance on the Alpha.

The T5 has lights (the DC50 did not) that can be turned on and off at the tail gait or in very short proximity to the 320.

The TT15 will stim and tone with an Alpha.

The TT15 can be used with an Astro but does not stim or tone.

The new T5 and TT15 will be compatible with either the Astro or the Alpha, but the user must choose which handheld you want to pair/match them with. If your buddy has a T5/TT15 and is using it on his Astro, you will not be able to "see it" if you own an Alpha and vice versa.

I quickly glanced at the specs but couldn't find what I needed.

What is the difference between the current TT10 and the new TT15 besides the presumable ability to change frequency?

Looks like I'll finally be upgrading to the alpha.

I was excited about the new collars until i read the last part of your post.
Some of my huntin buddies have astros and some alphas, we were looking forward to being able to track eachothers dogs again. Oh well.

Same here. There must be some major technological hurdle to being able to track the same collar with both. I'm sure Garmin would like us to be able to do that.
