I have not hunted in a hunt since the Garmin rule came out my question is this say two dogs cast if dog a is 1000 yards on the Garmin one way and dog b is 400 yards the other way can u use the Garmin so u are in the milled of both dogs. I know I have to read up on it more. thanks and good hunting

If both dogs are opening then yes you should always split the difference. If your asking can you just ask to walk to a dog that is not heard opening simply because your garmin says your dog is far i'mI'm going to say no. You can ask the cast if they would walk that way to split the difference but that is up to them.

The garmin intention was simply to try to keep dogs from getting near roads nothing more.

Exactly the same as its always been, the correct thing to do is to split the distance between dogs.
