whats the best day to breed a gyp?

My female is in and I am breeding her to raise a litter of pups. I was just wondering what everyones favorite day to breed is all.

She will tell you by flagging her tail!!! Also I do a progesterone test and that will give you a good idea Aswell !!! Most between 11-13 days but every female is different and that is just an average

You need to just load her up and take her and breed her to one of those high power stud dogs up north and raise the whole litter. Between the tenth and thirteenth day.

that usualy works....though I have seen them breed as early as the 7th and as late as the 18th and still get pups........usualy only a few days a cycle a female will stand and it varies

once you raise a litter or two out of the same female though, there "range" is pretty consistent. For instance Ruby would only breed from the 16-18 day....Cranks was around the 11-14........going way back, Jodie would only stand on the 7th or 8th day.....

if I haven't raised a litter from a female before, I always just did the progesterone test. if I remember right my vet charged like $20 or something like that......I know it was less than $50 for it, the brucellosis test, and office call.
