I just bought a new Bright Eyes light at SETW Days. It's been working great so far. Well last night my 2 buddies and myself got ourselves in a crazy predicament. The dogs got treed in a flooded river bottom. We had no choice but go in after them. We walked around in water waist deep to chest deep for almost 2 hours covering a total of 1.9 miles. We all own Bright Eyes and Garmin Alpha/Astro units. We were able to follow our tracks on the GPS to get us back where we knew we didn't have to swim. All of our light equipment with exception of the headlamp was under water the entire time. My Garmin was in my hand but went under quite a few times. It all works perfectly tonight. I was amazed that the only casualty was one smart phone belonging to my buddy..
Worst coon hunt ever, but could have been worse without quality equipment.
