GrNiteCh Yellow River Music was a sister to GrNiteCh Yellow River Red.

doc's mother daisy is line bred on Smith's Red Oak Mike....she is a grand daughter of mike on bottom, and her grandmother on top (Jessie) was a direct Daughter of Mike. Funny how these Line bred dogs keep showing up in the pedigrees of great reproducers....and I think Doc certainly qualifies as one.

Old timer....not many will know what your talking about...that was way back there. But Mike was a good reproducer in his own right. He produced 3 grand nite champions from one litter, the one Jesse was from. Jesse's sister also won American redbone days in 1990 I believe...but might be a year off. He also produced another grand nite male from a different cross that Shane Groves had....and there is even some semen stored on that one so its still possible to produce grand pups of old Mike today

I'm familiar with that cross

Lots of good blood behind the Doc and Music cross. I hunted the Pig dog (Doc and Music) some (Nice hound). Also hunted with a good female from this cross several times that made a nice one.

My buddy and neighbor for over 20 years had a male out of the Doc / Music cross that I put a couple of wins on and hunted with on a regular basis. GRNITECH GRCH EGGLESTONS YEL RIV HAMMERING HANK. Hank was a nice dog. A little tight on the ground though and has he got older after he finished to GrNt he became independent to a fault. By that I mean he would run a half mile or better away from any dogs he was cut with before he would start to hunt. He was sold for that reason. We didn't want to chase him across the country anymore when our other dogs were treeing coon right in front of him. In his younger days he was a tough dog though and won a lot of casts in style. Treeing with others when he had to and getting by himself when he could. That's what we want in a dog.

So what is this male you are considering out of? A grandson of the Doc/Music cross? Tell us how he is bred. Have you hunted with him? If so what type of dog is he?

Going hunting tonight he's not been in any hunts just turned two His sir was out of the GRCHGRNITE EGGLESTON YELLOW RIVER HAMMERING HANK WHICH WAS OUT OF DOC & MUSIC The Dam is out ofGRNITE TREE RIZIN' OUTLAW KIDS T - REX & CH TREE RIZIN STING LIKEA BEE . Like I sad the dog COLT is real good about having a coon when he tree's not a real hard tree dog I been told BUT is suppose to be LOUD ! Just trying to help him he wants to get in to nite hunting but also wants to breed good redbones hope this helps I know every thing you can tell me helps alot thanks till later thanks Tom!

The Outlaw Red Moon dog who was Doc's grandsire on the bottom was from a great cross, between Timber Jack and Outlaw Jessie. Jessie was the redbone who caused me to switch from hunting walkers back in 1990. She was a coon treeing machine and she produced the two best redbones I have ever been in the woods with....from two different sires. Dual Grand Ch Outlaw Timber Girl was a litter mate to Moon. I hunted Girl from Georgia to Texas to Minnesota to Michigan and most states between. She won a lot and did it as a 2 year old. She won 2 out of 3 redbone days in 92' and was high opp sex in the other. Won a lot of money in PKC and ended the year as UKC world champion redbone in Crockett Texas. The next year I got started on her younger half brother Outlaw Billy the Kid and he finished to Dual Grand as a 2 yr old as well while winning national redbone days in 93'. Those were the first two redbones I ever had and I got both of them from Alton Key as pups after Hunting with their mother one night in the zone quarter finals of the 1990 UKC world hunt, and I have been a redbone man ever since.
Your dog has a good pedigree stacked deep with some of the best reproducers and biggest winners in the breed. I didn't name them all or go into detail about many of them because I didn't hunt with all of them....but I sure liked the ones I did know. Best of luck with your dog....I hope he turns out to be the best you have ever had....shane

This males sire must have been GrNite Gunner. Gunner was out of Hank and my Patty female and was born at Watts Flats Redbone Kennels. I can tell you anything you want to know about Patty and Hank.

That is lots of good breeding. One I notice that has never been
talked about much is NITECH PR Golden Woods Stinger. I remember seeing his pedigree the first time and thinking wow.
He was a purina redbone winner back in the 90's.

Golden Woods Stinger and Golden Woods Little Ann were both owned by Charlie Cole and were top coonhounds way back when. That is some pedigree.

Sure do Tom, Gracie's pedigree below. If you bred Gracie to Colt the pups would actually be double bred on NITECH Stinger & NITECH Ann .Bonnie and Maggie "Razor Girl" are out of littermate sisters. And Sting and Ann are 1st cousins by way of Bruiser and Lulu, and Ann and Razor are full brother/sister. Confused yet? I sure am. We obviously love the blood, one way track drivers, and they have extreme lay-up ability like most have never seen. Born treedogs.

Which cross?

Maggie �Razor Girl� is a chop mouth track dog, triple chop locate, 120+ chop on tree treedog. As a young dog, she had an above average mouth volume wise��it is softening now as she is getting up there. She's thrown bawl mouth track dogs and chop mouth track dogs. Most of her pups are quite loud, a few are average volume. Your Gracie female was our pick pup, but when she grew out a bit we realized she had a softer mouth and was probably going to be a chop mouth, so that is why we sold her. When Brad came, we told him very specifically why she was for sale, and had several here for him and his boy to choose from��he picked her.

Bonnie had an average mouth on track, and choked down on the tree. She was bred to Clyde, Ox, Rip, and Gunner and I don�t think I�ve ever heard a poor mouth out of her��.most are exceptionally loud and bawl mouth. Even the grandpups we have out here from her have big mouths. We have a littermate to Colt, we call her Risky. Very loud bawl mouth, independent, and hard treedog. I don�t know much about the rest of that litter, Dave placed most of them.

Both Maggie and Bonnie were easy starting, natural born cooners.

Gracie is just like Maggie Chop track mouth & Triple Chop Locate into a steady Chop on Tree Reminds me alot of Maggie when I hunted with her years ago at your house we love Gracie and thank Brad for her I aways loved the redbones hope this little redbone female came to us for a reason I do believe in faith so we will be in touch thanks again Tom.
