Dog ate from Feeder Bucket

I bought some corn and molasses for my feeder buckets, the molasses comes in a 50lbs jug and is for cattle. Had a couple buckets on the deck soaking in the sun. Let my 2yo and (2x) 9 month old pups out and they got into it. Didn't think a lot about it till later when I got in from hunting. My older hound didn't want to eat. The next morning I go out to feed them again and all the pens are full of corn filled puke and crap. The pups act fine, but my 2yo won't eat, drink or show much effert to do anything. It's been two days since they got into it.

Lets see corn and sugar and water left out in the sun....He probably still has a hangover.
They don't have to eat but they do have to drink water. If you are sure that he is not drinking any water then you will have to take him to a Vet before he gets too dehydrated.

Sick as a Dog

Went out and checked on him, still just laying in his house acting sluggish. I filled his water bucket rim fiull so I can tell if he's drinking any.

Slowpoke,

How is your 2 year old dog doing ? Still not eating much, or drinking ?

Hope he is feeling better & acting normal by now.

Maybe they founder themselves on it. When a horse does that you give them mineral oil and make them walk until they start passing it. May try the mineral oil to get out of their system.
