Collar lights

I have read that a light on a dogs collar like the Sportdog or Tracker light will deter coyotes. Anyone know if this is true? If true, any color better than others? Also, which light is best, Sportdog or Tracker?

They say it helps. I've used the tracker lights since they come out and I've never had a problem with coyotes. I won't turn a dog loose without one on. When I was in high school and didn't have a tracker they sure helped out alot finding dogs yu can see them lights a long ways off. Ones I got blink but if yu flip the battery over it stays solid. I think there a good investment. Saved a couple dogs lives on the road to. Had a buddy tell me he was goin down the road one night and saw a green blinkin light and he stopped in the road he couldn't tell what it was I told him I appreciated him stopping cuz that was my dog lol. I think the light scared him a lil!!!

I agree with snowcreek, I've been using them for over 20 yrs. Before tracker and the others was Sunburn Satin. A great lighted collar
