Parvo can effect unborn pups. Parvo is everywhere, if your female comes in contact with it at a certain time period, the pups brain may not develop fully. I think it is around the 5th week.
I always thought it was good to hunt them for exercise, until I had this happen. I had three pups born without the ability to walk, and a lack of motor skills. All of the pups died within 5 months. I sent one to UT to find out what had happened.
I am not saying it will happen every time, but it is possible.

If I want to hunt one I hunt it. I have had something happen to more in the the pen than in the woods. That's just my look at things
