I don't think the registry makes the dog, its the amount of fur in the tree. Before somebody jumps the gun, I have hunted and won in different KC,s. If Dr. Law reproduces like his ancestors then he will be bred to regardless of titles. The comment was made about him being bred to because of his papers. True, aren't all dogs bred because of papers? Ancestory, the basis of 95% of all scheduled breedings. Every hunter likes different lines and that is what keeps those traits we desire in our hounds. In my personal opinion Mr. Hopkins knows a coondog and what it takes to be a stud dog. If he wants to breed his dog at six months old than it is his choice. If he is going to reproduce or not it doesn't matter if he is one or ten years old, titled or not. I personally don't put as much worth in hunt titles as I did fifteen years ago. If a dog will tree a coon half the time now then it can win a hunt title/money if put into enough hunts. My idea is wait a few years and see if his pups show as winners or at your local dog trader then we can resume this conversation.
the male is only 50%,hell i would like to throw jane in with
