My advice would be to check and see first of all what you have your battery setting on with your 320. Ex. The setting may be on lithum and you are using regular batteries. But, as far as loosing signal thats a new problem to me. But, it could be a few things, but I would start with the battery settings thing first.

Man that's a new one on me. I have never had that happen mine will loose signal for a few seconds then it comes right back. Have you tried to see if it needs updated. I know Garmin put out an update a while back for signal loose. I really don't know but it sure couldn't hurt anything.

.

Help me understand what your saying. You are saying after you change batteries you cannot turn your astro on. You then have to plug it into a computer or DC connection to get it to turn on? I have never heard of plugging one into the computer to get your sat. signal back. I do know sometimes they will not turn on and appear dead and plugging them in gets them running.

Changing batteries or turning it off will cause you to loose satellite signal but then when you turn it back on it picks back up within a few minutes.

If you had it 3 months and it don't work, getting a replacement should be simple enough. They have a year warranty.

No Bruce I can turn it on after I change batteries. But every time I do. I loose the signal on the receiver. I pretty much got to update the Garmin every time I change batteries. I have never had this problem with my old one. Every time I change batteries it is pretty much gors to demo mod.

Has to be one of your settings has been changed but without having it in my hand there are two simple things I would do if I was you.

First I would do a MASTER RESET and that would bring all you settings back to factory, which may solve the problem.

Second if that didn't work and you only had it three months I would return it to the dealer you got it from or call Garmin and get a new one.
