E-callor

Tonite my 2 1/2 year old male treed in some thick stuff , finally worked by way in there too get him I leashed him up & started headed back too truck .
I was so rough walking , I had went a little peice and turned him loose hopeing he would follow me. He ended up going back too tree , so I shocked him on level 3 too get him too come back!had too hit him a couple of times.
After I did it I was thinking , I hope I didn't mess him up In the future far as him treeing?
Has anyone messed up a dog doing this?

Never messed one up doing that. It shouldn't hurt his treeing at all. He might listen better the next time

tone break him that's the 1st thing u should do. then teach him the correct way. don't do it while ur upset and in a bad situation.
once you do this you and ur dog will be very happy.

E collar

Shouldn't hurt him a bit, Have broke a few this way from going back, but you do want to do your yard work, collar conditioning. I Pull one off the tree tell them dead walk them away from the tree (Garmin helps a lot also), they wheel around or make a circle and go back don't say a word to them bump them as soon as they hit the tree and as soon as they start to you take off walking, they will come by you and go to hunting. Couple times of this and if dog has any brains they will learn not to go back, easy fix if done right and early.
