I don't know who will win, registered or champions. I imagine Grands class is tight but Bill McFarland's Princess hound is tough along with Bowens Phantom hound. But the Grands are stacked.

What are your choices. You started this thread let's see what you think?

LOL, I will go with either cambells Skamp or Gauge of McVay's, and Ruger that shane seaman owns in champions, hard to call about the registered dogs.

I'd like to see the grand class have 4 of the chase dogs in it. What a way to settle who will win it all. A national grand champion title and winning the chase all in one. No offense to anyone else that has a grand in it. I have two in there also and neither one is a chase dog.

I thought that each class got the National Title...National Reg Champ, National Champ, Grand National Champ? Another one that gets me is the show. If your dog isn't GRCH and it wins the show then it doesnt get the National Show Title. Why would you show anthing if it isn't GRCH.....That may just help get entries up for the show. I'm not showing because of it, i just don't really get that.

And my hunt predictions are that my Rock dog will win Reg, White River Abigail will win Champ and don't really know about Grands. Probably one of Brad or Vicki's dogs will win Grands. I don't have a dog hunting in Grands!!!!!! LOL! I won't win anything now! Show winner is prob one of Donny and Angie Baker's dogs.

A degree was never issued back in the day. Not until in recent years when UKC implemented a degree of National Grand Champion (NGRCH). That degree is noted on the dogs pedigree just like the degree of HBCH or GRHBCH. And the NGRCH title/degree is obviously only available to the class that has earned the degree of Grand Champion.

Nothing has changed in terms of the overall registered and champion division champions. They never earned a degree like the grands do now.

I think we've made some changes to the Nationals already as a result of listening to what our supporters want. So can we think about it before throwing in the towel? If we make this event or any other event all about winning we're in big trouble guys and gals. How about looking forward to having a great time and plenty of other good things that come with participating at the Nationals? I for one am jealous of most of you because I don't even get to hunt the first round.

Not throwing in the towel. Just wondered why all classes don't earn the degree of National Champion. I think the hunt is great and will continue to come and hunt and show my hounds, as ugly as they are.

If you need a hound to put in the hunts Allen I got a pup that would work for you!!! He's to fast for my hounds.

Tyler with the Bo duke dog has a good shot, thats one of the finer hounds I have seen.... Owen D can't be ruled out especially if he shows up feeling a little groggy and has a head ache! LoL good luck to all!

Cliffty Creek Big John and Top will win a round along with the Scamp dog if they don't all draw out together. Watch it for the Cash dog of Mike Ridenhour he is tough and Joe Brown will win a cast in the Grands with his secret weapon. Lol. For Nationals what I think would be cool would be run your registered against registered, your champs against champs, and your grands against grands and who ever wins that goes to a final cast of all 3 to crown the real National Champion, but all 3 is considered National champions for there category. The dog to win in the final cast wins the abbreviation in front of their name. Just a thought though
