Crooked River Red Turkey

I recently purchased a 14 month old male Redbone from Travis Oliphant. Outstanding gentleman to deal with for sure. This young dog will flat get it done and is very impressive for a 14 month old. After doing some research it seems that most all of Turkeys offspring start early and have plenty of hunt. If you folks have a nice female that your looking to raise pups off of you definitely need to check Turkey out.

Matt..

Some call him the TURKINATOR, Sounds like you have bandit . That pup has a bright future ahead of him.. Good luck in the hunts.

Mr Johnson

That is correct. If Bandit is any indication of what kind of offspring the (Turkinator) throws there is going to be some nice hounds off him. I'm originally from just up the road from you sounds like. Hiawassee Ga

Matt

That's up near the mountains I think, I'm 3 hours south of there.. Tough chasing Dogs up there I think, keep Bandit busy, he will be ready to do some winning very soon.

Lightbulb Turkey

I have personally hunted with Bandit who is off Turkey x Zoe. He is one of the best young red dogs I have seen in these parts. I handled him in the Southern Redbone days and fell short to Andy Harris and his Gus dog off of Train, but I guarantee you will see Bandit in the winners circle and it won't be long coming. For a young hound he is getting better every time you unsnap him. He worked a track out the other night that took him about 20 minutes, he struck the track ( takes them as they come) swam the river ( loves water) made two checks and was under the coon (boar) 1/2 mile when it was all said and done with absolutely no help. Remember the name Dan River Bandit you will see it again I'm sure.

Thanks for the kind words about turkey and his pups. I knew Bandit was special at an early age. He was treeing coons alone at 5 months of age. I can't keep them all so I enjoy starting these Turkey pups and then putting them in good hands. Turkey is 5 yrs old now so I plan to keep my current young dog and hit some hunts again.
