I had a litter of three pups get parvo and did not make it about a year and a half ago, my question is, I have a 2 month old pup coming to me in a couple of weeks and I want to no what I can do to help prevent this one from getting it. Thanks for any help.......

if you have concrete kennels that the pup will be in, Ive heard to clorox the heck out of it. also heard it stays in the ground for years. anywhere those pups were either burn or clorox to heck. good luck

Not bringing the pup home until it's fully vaccinated (entire series of puppy shots) may mitigate some of the chance you'd be taking.

move the pen if its in the ground. older dogs it usually dont
effect.all new stuff.

All good advice, follow it and you will or maby I should say SHOULD be O.K... Parvo is BAD stuff and stays with you for years...

Immunize @ 6 , 9 , 12 , 15 weeks & another @ 6 mo . If you bring it home keep in a clean (frequently bleached kennel) until it has had the first 3 shots before you let it out to run around or be exposed to any other dogs especially other pups . Don't take it to the local hunt or park to be shown off or any other places other dogs frequent . Do not leave out the last 2 shots though ... because of puppies being covered by the mothers immunity sometimes the first shot or 2 are cancelled out by her antibodies remaining in the pups system - the last 2 are important to insure immunity . There are still no guarantees there are strains of parvo that are not covered by immunizations & parvo can also be airborn , so if a dog in you neighborhood gets it yours could still be exposed - why the shots are so important to build up immunity to the virus .
