plotts

it doesn't matter what your hunting for, Mr. Walker's dogs hands down take the win for best plott dog out there. I've hunted with some of the so called "best" plotts out there and there is nothing that holds a candle stick to them. If you want the best, go to the best, and that's Eugene's dogs. Any questions about this, by all means ask me about it I'll tell you from first hand knowledge what I've seen and delt with. 765 438 0621. Says alot that i'm willing to put my name and number out there to support what i feel is the best out there.

Plotts

I've had other breeds but really like my Pocahontas plott from Eugene Walker. He's been breeding the line he has for a life time . I BEAR AND COON hunt mine with great success.

You can't beat the dogs mike kemp at threebearkennels is breeding. If you run fox, cat, bear, hogs or anything else. These dogs make outstanding rig dogs and will run to catch anything you put them on. Treeing or baying is not an issue. Currently I am using this breed to hog hunt and I have the best pack right now I've ever had. Anyone else ever hunted any dogs from threebearkennels?

Hunted with many of his dogs over the last 20 years or so and they are top notch.

I hunt blue dogs but I have hunted around quite a few plotts. The only line of plotts I will own are the wva plotts from Curtis walker. I give up on the walkers a few years ago always lacking significantly in one dept or the other

Plotts/walkers

Seen some good laurel valley plots, with the walkers I like a old yadkin river with a shot of clover mixed in. The bones dogs in my walkers ped throws a little more nose an grit than most yadkin river have . One of the best crosses around here was those to crossed on each other.

There's some good plott lines out there for sure , I don't have a clue about walkers but as far as plotts from my personal experience some of the other plott lines mentioned above couldn't even smell a track that dogs directly from bill hicks house could smell . They can cold trail and stay on a mean bear all day but don't have the grit as the others mentioned but you can't beat a hicks dog and dealing with him good feller . My 2cents

Walkers

When it comes to the best line of walkers u have gotta stay away a long way from titled dogs. You have gotta find someone breeding for ability not titles . It is very easy to find a good descent walker pack dog but iit takes a different stock of dog to still have the super good nose track power gritt speed an Brains to be a complete package dog. Most Ur new tiltiked dog throw plenty of speed an tree but lack the nose power to jump there own . I will not own a hound that cannot consistently jump an stick an stay with the desired game I put it on. Even with a certain stock ull have different levels off ability but overall the percentages of an what u expect should be pretty close. I like having the problem of which one will I start the track with today.

i am a walker man and this is just my personnel opinion. it is to watch the females especially close of a line of walkers .if the females will get it done especially with rough bear then it may save you alot of time carrying it on .
