about comp hunting

I don't quite ubderstand all the rules in the comp hunting on how the score is given and when to call dog and what I should be exspecting at a hunt I know I pleasure hunt and know my dogs but I don't use a tracking system would that hurt me or no ?

The best thing for you to do is go to a UKC nite hunt near you and spectate on a cast or two. Most people will be willing to let you follow them. Talk to the club members and ask for a 2014 score card. Good luck.
