Thumbs down Explain this

I hunted a track of public land two weeks ago and tonight. I turned out same spot both times. Dog goes in about 500 yards and falls treed on a layup I think ( both times) My dog is not a extreme tree dog but he blows it out both times! Trees might be ten feet apart in a little swamp. I ain't seen a coon yet!! This hound has a handle and rarely goes back to the tree. He would not hunt it off either time. I've treed the same coon before a lot but I haven't ever missed the same one before!

Jumper

Sounds to me like you have a jumper, try to get in a little faster next time, might catch the coon getting out of the tree. Had one to this to me and a buddy of mine one night, we thought the dog just missed. Came back a couple weeks later, treed on the exact same tree but we got there as the coon was hoppin into the next tree over. Needless to say he wont be doin it anymore.
