This week, GRCH NITECH New River Rebel was laid to rest. Rebel was not just a coondog and reproducer, but he was a coonhound with a personality. Rebel had turned 14 years old in Sept. He lived a long life for a hound. He was a once in a life time type of hound that does not come along every day. He was one of the top reproducers sired by the top historical reproducer (Michigan Swamp Rooster). Rebel was laid to rest near his half sister, Pine Mtn. Nikki II and one of his sons, Pine Mtn. Hammer. Rebel produced some outstanding coondogs and his off spring have been in the winners circle all across the country. Rebel will live on in his offspring. TEAM REBEL is here to stay.

REST IN PEACE GRCH NITECH NEW RIVER REBEL--YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

I'm so sorry to hear this.I know he will be sorely missed,not only by you,but by the English world.He has definitely made his mark,that's for dang sure.Again,so sorry for your loss.

A sincere thanks to everyone for their nice comments on Rebel. Your kind words are very comforting. Rebel was truly a very special hound and he will be missed terribly. I think we take our hounds for granted sometimes and do not think about losing them until it happens. We should give them that extra pat on the head each day because we never know if it will be their last.

Rebel had been ill for awhile and I had been expecting to lose him but it still does not make it any easier. Many of you have been in this same situation in the past and know the pain.
