Southern Hospitality

There has always been a disagreement on which hounds are Better those that learned to hunt in the Southern Swamps or the northern patch woods!

FIRST let me apologize for not inviting all those snowed in northern hunters down south to get in some boot time.

SECOND I would like to invite to invite all the northern hunters down to Georgia for the Month of Feb. there are hunts all month long in all the kc's and just maybe one of those northern hounds can shut-up all us Southern boys!

Well Brother David i think you bring up a really good argument i cant believe you havent had five hundred posts on this thread yet cause ive heard this argument come up a million times. Im from southern New Jersey born and raised but im not afraid to say a southern swamp dog is a harder hunter. I myself live in the delaware river basin we have water all over our ground is swmapy "not as thick as georgia" but if you dont wear hip waders your gettin a black water bath. A dog in the swamp sees and smells alot more distraction and has to work harder to and finish a track. Ive heard that if you break a dog in the swamp you can take him anywhere and he'll hunt harder than any other dog im not saying i completely agree with this sayin but i defineatly feel that theres some truth to it
