I am wanting info on this dog. It seems like this dog was in every ped. in the books.
Was the dog his self a good dog?
What is the closest thing to him ?

yes ,and he was a good reproducer. i never hunted with bozo but i was told by a guy that did he was nice. i hunted 2 of his sons they were straightline hunters very accurate coon only type dogs with average mouths and they didnt like sharing a tree much. i would take a bozo pup in a heartbeat even though they were ugly.

MOST BOZO DOGS WERE TRACK DRIVIN DOGS THE ONLY ONE I HUNTED WITH THAT WAS DIRECT OUT OF HIM WAS STONE MOUNTAUN STEEL AND HE WAS A GREAT GREAT HOUND!!BUT I HUNT ROADBLOCK DOGS AND I LOVE THEM

Older coonhunters around here said he was a coondog. He put the independence in the treeing walker breed. Before Bozo most walkers pack hunted.

I owned a english red tick out of Mack Ole Bang witch went back to Bozo Deadly accurate, always bye himself never would back another dog only fault, another dog would come into his tree he would face bark bad, but made a good pleasure dog never in his life treed a possum you can't say that about most dogs i would take another one just like him

I have a female that is 4 times Bozo bred (Roadblock x Wild Casey). She'll be bred to a Bozo / Clover stud in the future. Chances are whatever I breed to will put Bozo in there 5-6 times within 6 generations.
