Bench Show Person/Handler needed

I am looking for someone to show my registered Puppy female and registered Junior male Redbones at the Grand American Bench Show on Friday. I don't have that much experience but "I think" that either one of them has a chance of winning Best of Breed. I will be tied up all day with confirming and drawing out for the hunt and won't have time to show them. So is there anyone that maybe will be showing a champion or grand champion on Saturday but does not have anything to show on Friday? Please reply here or PM me or call me at 423-605-3757.

I was gonna say

I was gonna say Richard it's not for a lack of experience. The first time I saw you was at the very first Southern Redbone Days. I believe you were showing a male by the name of Timber King or something like that....What year was that? Man, we have come a long way since then... Good luck hunting at the Grand American...Wish I was going to be there... Lucas

Huh

"I will be tied up all day with confirming and drawing out for the hunt and won't have time to show them". All day, are you kidding? HAHAHA.
They did that article on you in the coonhound bloodlines remember. I think it mentioned your Bench Show days. I bet lots of people read that article. You better start over. HAHAHA.

I have a plaque on my wall that says Grand Champion Male...1st Southern National Bench Show but it does not have a date. The pup that I want to show is a great great great grandpup of King. They have changed the bench shows a lot since then. Now they parade them around the ring. Back then they just put them up on the bench. It was so cold that year that we showed in the old school house across the ball fields. Nowadays they are still showing when they are calling out the casts.

Jason, I think that I am just going to become a bench show person now. I am going to sell my Garmin and my Tri-Tronics and my waders and just buy a treadmill machine to walk the dogs on. It looks like I can win more showing these dogs than hunting them.

Well, I read up on the Top Ten and Purina Bench Show Race requirements this morning and I think that I am about ready to go now. I am going to figure out a schedule and start hitting these State Hunt Bench Shows. I figure that I can just drive to them in the morning and finish and drive home that evening/night. I won't even have to get a motel now. But I am going to have to learn how to get out and trot along beside my dog. A fast walk is all that I have been able to do for several years now. I guess that I had better find a running track to practice on. Does anyone know Mr Dale Young's phone number? Maybe he will give me some pointers/tips on what to do. I heard that he had some experience at this. I guess that he will be at Southern Redbone Days and I can talk to him there. And yes Mr Gher, I thought she made me look pretty good.

Bond, I think that we need to get a bunch of benches for the cabin hunt. We could have a bench show on Fri and Sat afternoons. That would give us older guys something to do. Then I could ride along with y'all when you went hunting at night. Of course, I couldn't go to the trees because I have sold my light. But I could sit on the tailgate with a Mason Jar full of apple pie.

Now you know with Bond being a bench show judge and if we look and see if there is no events around that weekend maybe we could have a bench show for those folks that are becoming show people and retiring from the hunts...Paster Mike is awlful hard to beat at showing one Richard...LOL
