What's next?

Ok, I'm iced in and bored. Been thinking about advances in our sport, and what might come next. Gamins, cordless lights, what's next?

Camera on the tracking collar where we can see exactly where they are and what they are doing.

What next?

Garmin will release a small, affordable Thermal Imager for coon hunting. It will let you see the coon in the thickest, tallest trees. UKC will allow them in hunts.

Cory I'll let you know in a week or so about doing some hunting, looks like we are coming down for Christmas. I've got a very nice young prospect on the end of my leed.

.

Camera works good. Collar has to be improved. You either see the back of dogs head or the bottom of its jaw. Lol. It's going to take some work. Even with good camera stabilization built in you can get dizzy watching. I don't see any quality footage any time soon. Might be some value in an old slow dog after all.

Keep me posted. Sounds interesting, at least from a training stand point.

Garmin needs a

Scent detector mounted on the collar. It will report what scent the dog is following. Now that would sell. :-)

Garmin is working on a hologram of a coon so you can shine it up there, that way these slick treeing idiots can get some plus points
