I have a friend who has an English Coonhound female. She doesn't have any championship titles, but has one litter registered with UKC. Can we change her name when sending in the papers?

The last time I transferred a "non-titled" dog, you could change the name, but my friend has told me that you cannot if the dog in question has had any pups. Looking for clarification.

Also, can I enter the dog in UKC events while the papers are being sent to UKC? Who do I need to put down as the owner of this dog when I enter an event if I can enter her in UKC events while waiting on the papers?

If the dog has produced a litter, we will not change any part of the dog's name.

Whether or not you can enter the dog in events while the papers are being transferred is a question for either the Dog Events Department or the Coonhound Field Operations Department, based on the type of events you are referring to.

Thanks for the clarification.

As far as entering events, that would be with the Coonhound Field Operations Department. I am sending the papers in tomorrow and I want to hunt her in the UKC Battle of the Breeds hunt on December 6th & 7th.

However, I am afraid I will not have the papers back from UKC by then. If I can hunt her while the papers are being processed, that would be great. I just don't want to get a win only to have it taken away because of the paperwork situation.
