Astro 320 and ford truck

my 320 will not point the right way to the dog's while around the truck, usually 180 off, the truck is not running, dosnt matter if I'm in the front or back of the truck, I have no idea why it does this, have to walk away to make sure where the dog's are, my buddy's 320 does the same thing, anyone else have this issue?

Same with John Deere Gator. When moving, compass works just fine, but stopped north will point to the front. Don't know just what it is, but there is something in the dash that draws it.

My Alpha does it with my Ranger as well. Back in the day I had a 220 and it did the same thing.

Helps the distance. Compass direction will still be wrong until I get 8 to 10 feet away from the Ranger.
