My daughter sent me this pic taken on Table Rock Lake in Missouri. It is a Cottonmouth biting a Copperhead. I've often seen both species in the same areas of the lake and I've even seen them near each other , but I've never seen one bite the other... Just plain NASTY LOOKING.

It looks like a really good size copperhead to, they're both good size snakes. I've always heard cottonmouths will eat other snakes, that just makes proof that they do. Great picture!! Hope them snakes are taken care of LOL!!!

Bradford county north eastern part of the state they say there are northern diamond back rattlers on Barclay and Armenia mountains but I've never seen one and i'd like to keep it that way ! I never seen or heard of a copperhead around here and I started coonhunting in 1972 !

Never seen a Diamond Back in my area but I know that they are around. I have seen a couple copperheads though, they are the only thing I hate worse than a Porcupine. LOL
