Best bibs ???

Who has the best briar proof/ water proof bibs out there? Best pocket lay out on the front, best zippers, best elastic on the suspenders, etc. Mine a cut all up and I've not looked to buy a pair in about 8yrs.

I bought them that long ago in IN from Jerry Moll's Salt Creek Supply (no longer exists) and I did not where them but a few times until 15 months ago when I moved down here to KY....wore the legs out in 15 months. When I lived in IN I mainly wore frog legs and no bibs, since I moved here I where knee high boots and bibs, that's why its been so long since I bought any. I hunt quite a bit and I'm hard on equipment, haven't had any boots or bibs go much over a year.

Aren't bibs hot in the summer? And how do you keep dry when crossing creeks,if you don't have chaps sewed on to boots?

It's hot in your underwear here, being briar proof is a much higher priority to me! The water I hunt around here is either a little creek you can get across with knee high boots or it's so big you'd need a boat to cross it. That is why I wear bibs and knee high boots most of the time rather then frog legs. In IN where I live most of my life I hunted water that was medium depth, couldn't cross with knee high boot, did not need a boat really but with waders you could usually find a place you could cross....make since?!?

I must be cheap I use carhartt bibs and northern knee high rubber boots now mind you I have several pair of carhartts some have patches but for 60 bucks there hard to beat day or night all carhartt bibs have the same pockets including the insulated bibs which are a little more money for them cold nights I keep my garmin in right side leg inner pocket and spare batteries in left side leg pocket smokes in left chest pocket and pop cover in right chest pocket as for the garmin it fits in there snug and deep enough its there even with 14inch flex antenna i can sit down or drive and its there I can't remember how many times I have forgot to even shut it off after a long night I tried every way they make to carry the garmin and this is by far the best for me ! carhartt and northern boots are made in the usa

Mule Brand

Coon hunting and rabbit hunting I can wear out a good pair of bibs in under 2 years. Now I have a pair of Mule lightweights that are coming 5 years old that are still in excellent condition. The regular weights are a little stiff but you'll be an old man before you wear out a pair.
