I hunt with some that like to go to the other kc hunt a lot, my question is why if my dog is not treed within the first 90 seconds do I want him to be 900 yards in the next 2 minutes? What happened to the coondogs now days?

Most comp hunters in other kc agree that if dog was not in on that coon in 2 min he should have been off finding his own - coming in to cover nearly five min late they are either me tooing other dogs or way to slow !

i aint never understood why anybody wanna a dog to get deep quick,from what little ive seen them kind of dogs miss alot of coons getting deep quick.

A COONDOG does not cover a dog nearly 5 min late , he would be the first one there ! And if there are coon 10 yards from the truck he will find them ,but you better not dry hole a coon dog because it will go however far it needs to to get the job done ! A coondog trees coon consistantly night in night out & doesn't need or want help to get it done .
