Toughest break I have personally ever seen in a hunt!!

I went to the zones up at Queen City this weekend as a backup handler. My buddy hunted his blue dog Woodrow (Woody) in it. Walk up to the tree, and they shake a vine. A very nice looking possum was about 15 feet up the tree. The entire cast shined very hard for the time remaining, and found no coon. Two dogs got scratched for off game, and both of them are known coondogs. We walk about 70 yards from the tree and something happens to catch my eye. YOU GUESSED IT already! The coon was up at the very top of the very big tree hugged up in a ball. Tough Luck guys there is always next year.

I've seen a coon and a opossum in the same tree. As well as a coon and a squirrel in the same tree twice. It's one of those things that can make you question even a nice hound.

possum

I hunted Snackpack years ago. He seldom had a coon or a possum in his trees. But he did manage to tree both in one tree. Only time I had it happen.

I seen it while pleasure hunting found the coon first, then shot the possum out to my dog, not knowing it was in the tree.

I'd say total, I've treed multi-game trees maybe a dozen times.

Treed a persimmon one night with three possums and four coons in it.
Treed a tree one night with a coon, a squirrel and several buzzards in it.
Treed a tree on the edge of town once that was full of cats and possums.
