Garmin DC-20 Collar - Do-It-Yourselfer

I have a DC-20 collar that I tried to convert to a under the neck type GPS collar. When I attached the 90 degree antenna connection I tightened a little too much and broke the internal wire that runs from the internal antenna connection(don't know what it's called) to the board. The wire broke from inside the connection so it can't be soldered back.

I need that little brass bolt looking thingamagigee that the external antenna screws onto.

What is it called? Where can I get it from?
PM me if you like.

Thanks for the help

I have the 90 degree connector and antenna, just need another internal connector that I broke. I went to Radio Shack yesterday. They couldn't help.....they didn't have a clue.
I checked all the connectors they had, some were close but wouldn't work. Thanks

Yes, I'm hoping Bruce or someone with the expertise will see the thread and give me a holler.

.

This may be close to what your looking for.

Mr. Webber here is what I would do. Kevin not only has the part but he can even make it better. He will go inside and bring the antenna out the side and seal the hole the SMA connection goes in. When done this way they work really well.

Thanks for the number. I'll give him a call. I don't plan on using the collar for my own use as I have plenty other newer model collars. I'm just looking to fix it and sell it to recoop a little money.

But that sounds like a great idea to modify it and come out the side.

Thanks again..Have great day!
