You are both correct. Saw this pup on craigslist and bought him for a little of nothing. Come to find out he has a pedigree as long as your leg and a mouth to back it up. I think he is going to take right off.

Dutch is a littermate to my Slim dog, I bred and started Dutch right here at my place. He is off of Jammer x Cottonwood Sissy (Meyers bred) He started very young, was extremely gamey, has a big mouth and could trail one up. Trees about 80 bpm. I left him with Rickey in Alabama for a year, but, Rickey never hunted him but a few times as Rickeys Dad was in bad shape at that time. We bred him a few times to see how he would do, and it seems that he has a few pups that are doing it. He will be three in September. We have since let Chris Willis of Eastern Kentucky have him and he is doing well with him, he has bred him to his Nt. Ch. Jill, who is directly off TIGE, and got one female pup. You must have seen something out of the pup that you bought, not knowing who the daddy was??

Yes I remember her, Rickey went over there to see her before he bred her to Dutch, and she was down in the woods treed, and what a treedog he said. When she came in heat, Mr. Brackin brought her to Rickeys house to breed to Dutch, but, before he came, he called Rickey to ask what the stud fee was, and Rickey just said, "whatever you think it was worth to you would be fine" Well, when he got there he brought Dixie out and bred her, he reached in the back of his truck and pulled out a 5 gallon bucket of tomatoes! he asked if that was enough, and Rickey said, " That's twice as many as you should have brought" LOL Good Luck with him!!

I started Dutch at my house for Dave. Hard goin loud mouth track dog that was also a loud dang good tree dog. He was very easy to start and a natural. Looked like a hound and sounded like a hound. I liked him.

Gotta LOVE what you can find on CraigsList! I spend WAY too much time there(this is Heather)... but I have found enough flooring to do our whole house... for next to nothing! I guess if I were actually ever LOOKING for a hound...lol... Bob would KILL ME!
