Tri tronics transmitter burning up

Tonight I went out and grabbed my dads shocking system, powered up the collar and grabbed the transmitter, I always flip the switch up to make sure I've got plenty of knockdown power incase I need it. Well I pushed the black button down to test it and the light was flickering red and all of a sudden smoke comes trickling out of the toggle switch on the transmitter!!!! It got real hot like it was about to burn up I grabbed a screw driver and got the battery out. Long story short, I'm pissed. Anybody else have this happen?

you are spot on! Its the trash breaker, the name seems very fitting. Along with there bark collars that only maybe last a year. I told my dad I will be buying a sportdog. I guess I'm glad I payed attention and seen it smoking, probly would of burnt my dads house down!!!

Sean the sport dog system is bad a$$ for the money a lot better distance knock down power and Cust service!! But if you can swing it tri tronics took the money they made off that junk and put it into the alpha!!!im not Ser about the durability but I have had mine fr a year and I have toned. At 1200 yards and works every time !!! Bruce says I believe they have gotten the schocker to work consistently to.a mile now I don't know anybody that would use one that far but its deaf seems to be the best unit yet!!! But if you any swing it call Bruce and get. The3225 you will e happy!!!

I have had the Tri-Tronics and was not impressed. I bought the Sportdog PRO HUNTER 2525 and it is by far the best unit i have ever had and it is 100% waterproof, By trial. Sport dog is great to deal with with any issues or questions that you may have as well. I run these collars on my coon, bear, blood, and retrieving dogs.
