Got the call from Chris tonight that May was killed on the road by a car. What a great loss to our breed. Chris was getting her tuned up for Autumn Oaks. I had the pleasure of hunting with May a couple times and she was definitely a coon tree'r. I know Chris had great expectations for May and her pups for the future, and he was trying to do all the research he possibly could do to produce a top competitive hound. I think Chris was on the right track, and to be hit with a blow like this is just devastating. BUT as we all know that ANYTIME we cut a hard going hound or just a good pleasure dog for that matter we are never for certain that we will be able to bring it home.
NORTHERN MAY was taken July 25, 2013 while doing what she loved to do and was bred to do(COONHUNT)!
Chris,Keep your chin up and be thankful for being able to own such a nice hound. So very sorry for your loss
