Biggest Improvement?

What do think is the biggest improvement in coonhunting made over the years?Lights,tracking systems,shock collars,dogs,etc.?

The dogs have come a long way....{for me anyway}

But, I would say Tracking Systems are by far the biggest improvement.

The places I coon hunt are not that big. But for bear hunting , it would be the tracking systems. I don't know how we ever got along without them.
And , for the guys that coon hunt the mountains , I don't see how they could have gotten by without them.
I know they have saved alot of dogs from spending the night in the woods for us.

Man o Man what the tracker has done for the hunters around my parts. The hills go on and on and all we have to do this time of year it turn out the dogs and track lol if we want to. Sure can be nice to hunt next to a heater some nights

gotta vote for trackers....and vehicles being a close second...anybody ever hunted out of a car when the dogs caught a polecat..talk about clearind up youe sinuses

I would say both trackers and e-collars. Plus, generally speaking, the overall coonhound population has improved. I started using a carbide light, so I would have to say the lights have improved also. While I am at it, the internet coonhunting has been a big improvement and the magazines are better now. It still takes a coondog to tree many coons around here.
