Kidney surgery

I got Ole Bo here with an enlarged Kidney...mass...April 18 the local vet opened him up and called me to inform me that the mass was huge and he could not see the left kidney. Also told me that he may not come off the table alive.I had little time to decide so I told him to put him back together so that would give me some time to breeed him.I bred him a week later with a row of stiches in his belly and now got pups from him. The mass is larger ,to the point that you can see it clearly,I have hunted him 3 times since and he treed coons everynight. Has anyone had major surgery performed as this and also what do you guys think I shoud do.It may very well be cancer or it may not be.He just turned 6 and this has took the want to out of me...NOT KNOWING WHAT TO DO IS THA HARD PART....Any advice ....

If the dog is something you want pups from, and his health will stand it, get him collected. Tom

I am planning to have both my males collected as soon as possible.Ole Bo may not produce his likeness but I cant go back to huntin a dog that don't have a real good mouth and smart,I got lucky with Bo and his sister,Both got extremely good bawl mouths and are the smartest coon dogs I have ever walked behind.......I want to keep it for years after they are gone.I have to make a decision ,don't want him to suffer either
