UKC should have a mandatory guide lines to post a dog for sale [ THE LOCATION ] [THE PRICE ] . Most tell a big story about how great the dog will be , how great it has been bred up , but no price or where it is . I always put the price and location , on something i plan to sell and save everyone PMs and begging for the location or price . This is a start , for a honest description you must hunt the dog first , unless it has no exposure to game yet . I do like the people who put it all straight up like it should be , but don't see it enough .

I like it when these people give hardly any information about a dog and then put NO TIREKICKERS

You will be a "TIREKICKER" for just calling trying to find out Age,Location,Pedigree, ect.

Must be guys like you enjoy wasting every ones time reading adds with no location . Well then if i pm you begging for a price and location and if your 22 hrs away and want 3 times what i have , do you think i am gonna buy a hound from you ? That's my point ! I read adds all the time people can't spell worth a hoot , does not bother me at all .

just as a subject is required in the subject field for a new topic, ukc could add a price and location field to the classifieds.
i once posted that unless someone was giving a world champion away, for free, location matters.
how about when you ask a question and the poster wants to answer ever question privately. or the location is tx. that's a big place. even if i live in tx i'm not interested in everything in tx.

You could put your location and phone number in your signature but then you would have the people complaining about signatures being too long

I don't think you need to list a location as long as you list a phone number. If you really interested in a dog you can do a phone number search on the internet and have a location in about a minute and its free. Just a little work for a little time.

Now a price I think should definately be listed for sure. If you want to sell a dog just GIVE the PRICE. Whats the big deal. It will let me know if I can afford it or not.

I have seen people place all that information in their adds, and then watch a half dozen people ask about the price, location, yada yada when it is provided in the very 1st post.

Also, I absolutely hate listing a price. I think many dogs are way too over price. When I list a very reasonable price, that greatly reduces the responses.

You know what it wouldn't matter if UKC required all that info, ya'all would find something else to complain about.

News flash an ad is just like a post!!!!! You don't have to click on it!

The most determining factors about buying a dog . So why would people not put them in a post ? Distance / price ? Some times the blood line is desirable but the bad is not revealed in the post . The dog is to far away or cost is too high . Jim from Indiana your way to smart , messing up that quote Hee Hee

You can also put the full pedigree , age , sex , color , pictures , price , location , a honest description of the dogs ability's . Then that is the first thing someone will ask you . Most people will not bug you if not wanting the dog , but there are those others who have nothing better to do than bug you to no end . There is just nothing good to say about this type . I can usually tell in the first minute of talking if someone just wants to waste my time . I was not referring to this childish behavior just 2 things the price and where the dog is located. Just post it from the start ?

I keep reading these adds all top blood lines super ability bred in to their stock . Ok no locations i guess they want us to plead with them for a location , because they sure won't put one in the posting . What a pure waste of every ones time looking at the posting .
