We found my mom over dosed on pain meds tonight I haven't wanted to be around her for about a year because I knew she was on them but this time she took way too much and she's in the hospital. We're good people live good lives have nice houses, nice things, yet she goes and does these things, why ? Someone tell me that ?

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Really no one can tell you why cause people who don't do that will never understand why they do it, plus they are very addictive. I have close friends that are in bad shape with stuff like that. All you can do is be there for her and let her know that you love her.

We will be praying! We know all about mental illness, addictions and suicidal ideation here.... It is never really easy to understand and sometimes there is no "reason"... We do know pain killers are easy to get addicted to so it isn't your moms "fault"... We will pray she gets all the treatment, care, support and LOVE she needs from your family, the Drs and the Good Lord!
