Bloody Creek "The Name"

I have had several of you ask me where I came up with the Kennel Name "Bloody Creek".. I know, sounds bad right... Here is the story. As many of you know several years back I owned a dog named Gr.Nt.Ch.Ch. PKC. Ch. Bloody Creek Swamp Thing, we called him "Casey" (Swamproster X Snake Female out of Krystall 2) At the time of his purchase my family and I lived in a town called Chickamauga, Ga. This was the site of the second bloodyest battle of the civil war. Legend has it that the famous creek ran red with blood for days after the fighting was over. I am a history buff, and that is where the kennel name came from, when we moved back home to Tennessee, I brought it and hopefully some of that history back with me. All of my hounds going forward will have something in their names to represent that battle and the sacrifices made there.. Thus the one I have now named "Cannon Bawl".. Thanks to all how have ask.... I would love to hear how others on here have came up with their Kennel names, so post your story on this thread... Thanks

We live in Montana just south of the Canadian line and west of the North Dakota line. We have always wanted to use a kennel name that has something to do with the area we live in. I coon hunt along the Lewis and Clark trails. Have treed coons where they have camped and hunted. But for the longest time we took one thing for granted and did not realize its rarity and that is the Northern Lights I am willing to bet there is no other place you can coon hunt and have the Northern Lights dancing over head as bright and as often as you will here. That's why we call ourselves Northern lights English.

Same here.

We call our kennel,s Big Creek Kennel,s for the simple fact I've hunted on a creek called Big Creek all my life in millington Tn. If you Google Smokestack,s it will come up in the top huanted places of the United states. I hunt right beside them, haven't seen any ghost but tree a lot of coons. It was a old ammunition plant if I knew how to post picks I've got some of it when it was a working plant before my time, I'm only 40.

how my buddy Bradley Ryan came up with coonvalley

Back when we first got into hunting we hunted a lot behind his house its a big valley that goes for miles with big bluffs all around them we put out some feeders and started hunting it hard we would strike and they would run plum out of the country or they would run strait to the bluffs and we hardly ever treed unless it was on the bluffs I bought a game camera and put it out and this is what we saw

[/B][/QUOTE] they are a lot of coons behind Bradley house but they are smart and very hard to tree they use all kind of tricks to there advantage and they are good at what they do lol COONVALLEY WINEY was the first of our hounds to carry the name coonvalley and she can tree them and make it look easy but she knows how and some times they still make it to the bluffs and run up it.
